Officer goes extra mile to help after police called to restaurant in Polhill, Sevenoaks

A police officer ran a mile in the rain to help colleagues make an arrest after a disturbance at a restaurant.
Police were called to the venue in Polhill, Sevenoaks, at about 6.20pm yesterday.
It was reported a man was smashing glasses and throwing his own belongings.
A tweet by the force's Sevenoaks team revealed an officer ran a mile in the rain to help.
The officer, only revealed as 'PC Nick', was delayed by a puncture to one of his vehicle's tyres before deciding to go the extra mile on foot.
A man, aged 43 and from Orpington, was arrested on suspicion of committing a public order offence and remains in custody.
