Person hit by train near Hither Green, affecting Sevenoaks services

A man has died after being hit by a train.
He was struck near Hither Green this morning.
Services between Sevenoaks and London Bridge were disrupted until around 12.30pm while emergency services dealt with the incident.
All services running through the station were cancelled, delayed or revised, and disruption is expected to continue until at least 4.30pm.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Hither Green rail station following reports of person struck by a train.
"The call came into police at 7.14am today.
"Officers alongside paramedics attended but sadly a man has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers will now work to establish the man’s identity and inform his next of kin.
"A file will be prepared for the coroner.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
