This is in relation to up to 20 potentially linked offences at addresses in Sevenoaks and Ashford and Swanley.

It is alleged that jewellery was stolen from homes known for being empty.

It is also alleged last Friday, December 14, an intruder was discovered lying on a bed inside an empty property near London Road, Swanley, which had belonged to someone who had recently died.

A plate of chips was discovered at a vacant address in Otford Road, Sevenoaks, where a rear window had been forced between Tuesday, October 30 and Friday, November 9.

The culprit may be using the train network to travel in and out of the county, with a further burglary reported in Ashford.
