Pupils and staff members are self-isolating after a confirmed case of coronavirus at a Westerham school for children with physical disabilities and complex medical needs.
Principal at Valence School, Roland Gooding, confirmed there was a case of Covid-19 "within our school community" and 13 pupils from two bubbles will be self isolating until Tuesday, October 6.
Some 16 employees who work in those bubble will also stay at home until then.
Mr Gooding said: "The number of staff is reflective of the very high needs of our pupils who have severe physical disabilities and complex medical needs.
“I would like to thank my staff and our parents and carers for their support and understanding during this difficult time.
“The rest of the school remains open with staff and pupils continuing to follow PHE guidance in terms of social distancing, handwashing and cleaning to minimise the spread of the virus and ensure pupils and staff can continue to learn and work in a safe environment.”
