A224 London Road near Sevenoaks shut in both directions after crash involving vehicle and pedestrian

A road is closed in both directions several hours after a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
It happened at around 1pm today on the A224 London Road, Riverhead near Sevenoaks.
Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service were called.
As of 10pm, the road was still shut in both directions with police carrying out investigation work between the Tesco roundabout and Pounsley Road.
The ambulance service has been approached for further information.
