A tradesman fell from a roof after being electrocuted, an inquest has heard.
Nelson Ridley - who was 39 and lived in Parkhill Road, Otford, near Sevenoaks - died while at work in Edenbridge on March 24.
Mr Ridley leaves behind a wife and three children following the tragedy.
At the opening of an inquest into his death, at County Hall in Maidstone this morning, assistant coroner for North West Kent Alan Blunsdon said: “There is some evidence to stand that the deceased may have come into contact with an electric cable.”
Tom Hartley paid tribute to his friend on social media shortly after his death.
He wrote: "I am devastated to just be told that young Nelson Ridley (from Kent) has died aged 39 from electric shock.
"Guys, this young gentleman and his full family - dad Nelson, brother Len (and) his mum - were the nicest and most genuine family I've ever met in travelling culture and (they) were great sports people.
"I've just spoken to his dad, (a) good friend of mine, who is broken-hearted and I struggled to contain my emotions.
"Our thoughts are with his wife, three children and the whole Ridley family."
Mr Ridley's cause of death was given as electrocution.
The inquest was adjourned until August 15 at The Shepway Centre.
