Scammers are claiming to be offering free water tests to "detect the wrong pH which may cause Covid-19".
Kent County Council is warning residents after it received reports from people living in Westerham about suspicious calls from a "government-backed scheme", EMF Water Testing Services.
The callers are offering a free test to show the hardness and pH of tap water in your home.
They say the wrong pH has health implications relating to Covid-19, and there are engineers in the area who can test the water.
You can check who supplies your water with official water services authority, Ofwat, who can tell you the hardness of your water and chemical breakdown if you would like to find out.
