Sevenoaks sex assault victim was teen not in 30s

Police have reissued an appeal for witnesses to a sexual assault in Sevenoaks to clarify the victim's age.

Yesterday the force said a woman in her 30s was attacked as she walked along The Vine on Monday afternoon.

However, this morning they have reissued the appeal to confirm she is actually in her teens.

The attack happened between 2.30pm and 3.15pm when the man pulled up in his car and propositioned the teenager.

It is then alleged he pulled his car across her path, got out, grabbed her and attempted to kiss her.

The man is thought to have been driving a white older style Volkswagen Polo or Golf.

He is described as white and tall with short brown hair.

He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms with a white trim and had his hood pulled up over his head.

Police said he had compacted teeth, growing over one another, and a northern accent.
