Excited customers wait for new Lidl to open in Edenbridge

There was a buzz of excitement in Edenbridge this morning. Despite the damp weather, scores of customers queued outside the new store in Station Road eager to be among the first in when it opened its doors at 8am.
The German-owned discount supermarket giant was promising plenty of opening day bargains.
The business has brought 40 new jobs to the town.
Christmas trees were already stocked up outside in case people wanted to add a dose of festivity to the occasion.
