A snake has been found slithering across a busy motorway.
The reptile was found by traffic officers for Highways England on the M25 earlier today.
It was found between Junction 5 at the Chevening Interchange, near Sevenoaks and Junction 4 for Orpington.
The officers managed to pick up the snake, which is about a metre in length, and are said to be dropping it off at the nearest RSPCA centre.
They tweeted about the incident earlier and say they would like to reunite the snake with its owner.

Claire Rowley, Highways England operations manager said: “We received a call that a brightly coloured orange corn snake had been sighted sunning itself on the hard shoulder near Orpington."
The snake wasn’t too hissed off about being moved and is now being looked after by staff at the Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation in Dartford.
