A suspected burglar was detained and arrested at Heathrow airport after being refused entry to Canada.
He has since been charged with 10 burglaries following an alleged theft in Sevenoaks earlier this year.
Emergency call handlers received a report of three masked men leaving a property near St John’s Hill just before 7.30pm on February 8.
The suspects allegedly left the scene on foot prior to police officers’ arrival.
On Tuesday (May 21), a man was then refused entry to Canada and arrested upon his return to the UK for suspected involvement in the break-in.
Leonardo Valesquez-Valencia, of no fixed address, was later charged with 10 counts of burglary relating to incidents across Kent, Essex, London, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Wiltshire.
The 37-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 24.
He has been remanded in custody pending a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, June, 21.
