The force has not confirmed the exact nature of their involvement, but said they were called just after 8.30am, to 'a report of concern for a man in the area.'

A worker at the One Stop Shop on Seal Road, said the store had to remain closed for the morning, while police officers were manning a cordon and forensic officers were combing the scene.

They added: "There had been an incident down the road from us, behind the shop.

"At one point there were around seven to eight police cars and officers were in uniform and non uniform. There was also a forensic van."

Staff at the store were told the police tape was being removed just before 2pm.
