Sevenoaks Town Council is taking legal action to evict travellers who have set up camp on its land.
Several caravans moved onto Brittains Meadow Common Land at the junction of Brittains Lane and London Road on Friday.
A spokesman for the authority said: "The council will commence the legal process to allow eviction immediately.
"After eviction the council will review potential deterrents to prevent future trespass."
It is the second time in as many months that the council has taken enforcement action against travellers.
Around 15 caravans moved onto the same site in July.
