A man who died after falling from his bike in Kemsing has been named as 78-year-old Kenneth Legge.

Mr Legge was out with a group of other cyclists last Wednesday, when he fell during an incident in Pilgrims Way.

Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene and Mr Legge, who was from the Bromley area, was airlifted to a hospital, where he later died.

This week his daughter, Alex Legge, released a statement saying: "I can say that sadly after a tragic accident while riding his bike, my beloved daddy left us in the early hours of Thursday, June 15. Shocked and heartbroken right now. RIP my dad, my world, my hero."

Collision investigators are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward, who have not yet spoken to them.

Witnesses, or anyone who saw Mr Legge and the other cyclists in the moments leading up to the accident, should call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538, quoting KH/MS/132/17.
