Sevenoaks: Kent Police appeal for information as woman has money and passport stolen in Poundland
15:50, 01 July 2017
A woman in her 70s had an envelope stolen from her bag, which had cash and a passport inside, as she shopped in Poundland.
Police have now released a CCTV image of two women they want to talk to about the incident which took place in the shop in Sevenoaks High Street between 10am and 10.30am on Monday, June 26.
It is thought that the pensioner was followed by the two suspects after she was seen taking the money out of a bank and putting it in her bag.
She only noticed the envelope was missing when she went to pay for items at the shop.
One of the suspects was wearing black leggings, a black coat and black Nike trainers. Her hair was in a ponytail, underneath a baseball cap.
The second woman was wearing either black leggings or jeans, with a peach-coloured long three quarter length coat and a black handbag. She had sunglasses on her head.
Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference YY/017157/17.
