Counting sheep is ewe-sually something saved for bedtime, but that was the case in the middle of the day in Westerham when a flock was spotted wandering down a main road.
At least a dozen animals could be seen running away from a Wolfe - the petrol station that is - on London Road on Thursday afternoon, near the junction for the M25.
Simon Proctor, 36, is general manager at Wolfe Westerham Garage and spotted the unusu-wool occurrence from the business window.
"It was quite something, there were a lot of people running around trying to gather them up," he said.
"I think there might have been a farmer with them, I don't know if he was leading them and taking them for a walk, or if they escaped somehow.
"It's not completely unusual to see, though, we've had horses and cows come down the road because there are farms and fields all the way around here."
