Jo Langston has completed day 60 of her two-mile challenge in support of the NHS.

The 36-year-old from Kemsing was hoping to raise £500 for NHS Charities Together and has already beaten that target.

Her fundraising story says: “I am trying to walk two miles everyday on my walking machine.

“I am totally blind and want to support the NHS. I realise with some many people doing great things some of you have already given!”

Jo’s father Mike, a well known figure in Kent football, has been keeping people updated on social media.

“We are very proud of what she has achieved,” he commented, after his daughter completed 120 miles.

Jo has been blind since birth and went to Dorton House School for the blind in Seal and then the Orpheus Centre for performing arts in Surrey.

As long as walking in support of the NHS, she’s been drumming for them on Thursdays too, rather than clapping. Despite her blindness she is a drummer for a band NOT The Shadows.
