Conway takes chequered flag in Monaco

Mike Conway led from start to finish to claim victory on the streets of Monaco during the GP2 series grand prix on Saturday.
It was Conway’s first ever win in the championship, which has recently produced F1 stars such as Lewis Hamilton, as he beat fellow Trident Racing driver Ho-Pin Tung to the chequered flag in the sprint race.
The 24-year-old, from Sevenoaks, had finished eighth during the previous day’s opening race, after being tapped into a spin on the last lap by back-marker Javier Villa, when heading for a podium finish.
Conway’s previous best finish was second during last year’s grand prix at Silverstone.
