Two dedicated kickboxing instructors from Miles Martial Arts will represent Team GB at the European Kickboxing Championships.
Benn Fillingham, from Sevenoaks, and Hildenborough’s Alex Chalke have earned their spots on the national team through years of hard work, discipline and an unwavering commitment to the sport.
Taking place at the iconic Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece, from today until next Sunday, the European Kickboxing Championships will bring together some of the best talent from across Europe.
“It’s an incredible opportunity to represent Team GB,” said Fillingham. “We’ve trained tirelessly and we’re ready to give it our all. We hope to make our community proud and inspire the next generation.”
Chalke said: “It’s such an absolute honour to represent your country.
“Walking out onto the world stage, knowing that our friends, family, and students will be cheering us on, is an unimaginable feeling.”
Fillingham, 24, will compete in the seniors under-54k full contact category while Chalke will be fighting in the veterans male over-94k light contact division.
Miles Martial Arts is a family-friendly club, offering taekwondo and kickboxing classes at many locations, including Hildenborough and Sevenoaks.
