A four-year-old girl who was seriously injured at a theme park is making “small improvements”.

Jessica Blake fell from a bridge in the queue for the Tomb Blaster Ride at Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey on June 7.

The Halfway Houses Primary School pupil, nicknamed JC for her first and second names Jessica Claire, was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting after suffering a fractured skull, a bleed on the brain and broken ribs.

A St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust spokesman said: “Jessica remains at St George’s Hospital, where she is making small improvements.”

At the time of going to press, the hospital were unable to be more specific.

Meanwhile, a Facebook page, called Prayers for JC keep fighting sweetheart, was set up for well wishers to leave messages of support earlier this month.

It has already reached 2,481 members.

An investigation by the Health and Safety Executive into the circumstances that led to Jessica’s fall is ongoing.
