Man accused of stealing Lego from B&M and booze from Sainsbury’s to appear in court

A man has been accused of trying to steal almost £300 worth of Lego and the theft of £1,000 of booze.
On August 21, police were notified about an attempted theft of £280 of Lego from B&M in Neats Court Retail Park, Queenborough.
Then between Thursday, October 19, and Sunday, October 29, staff at Sainsbury’s in Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, reported five separate thefts.
Bottles of spirits valued at around £1,000 were allegedly taken by a man who left the store without paying.
Yesterday, a man was arrested by officers from the Swale Victim Based Crime Team.
Benjamin Ferrell, of Murston Road, Sittingbourne, has since been charged with six counts of theft.
The 36-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 2.
He was conditionally bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on January 9, 2024.
