The leader of a new beaver group is hoping more youngsters will sign up.
It met for the first time at Queenborough Primary School, Edward Road, Queenborough, on Wednesday.
Eleven boys and girls went along to the club, which is being run under the umbrella of Halfway-based 2nd Sheppey Beavers.
They learned about beavers and made some pine cone creatures before having squash and biscuits.
Beaver scout leader Gloria Yates, who led the group, says she had expected a few more at the session.
“It was exciting as we were starting from scratch,” she said.
The club, for six to eight year olds, meets every Wednesday from 3.30pm to 5pm.
