Breakfast club at St Edward's Primary in Sheerness isolating after confirmed Covid-19 case

A primary school breakfast club has been forced to isolate after a positive case of coronavirus.
It comes after two confirmed cases of Covid-19 at St Edward's Primary in New Road, Sheerness , in the past week.
The school, which is part of the Kent Catholic School's Partnership, was informed on Saturday, October 31, that a pupil in Year 4 had tested positive for the virus.
As a result the whole year bubble, which only includes one class, was asked to self-isolate.
Just four days later on Wednesday it was made aware of a positive test for a Year 6 pupil, which meant the year groups bubble and some children involved in the school's breakfast club have been told to isolate as well.
A spokesman for the Trust said: "All staff and parents/carers of pupils at the school have been advised of the situation and I have attached the letters from the school that have been circulated, for your information.
"We wish both of our pupils a very swift recovery."
It is the second time in two days a school has asked pupils to isolate due to a confirmed Covid-19 case, after St George's Church of England Primary School in Minster had to do the same.
Similarly, a McDonald's chain on the Island was hit by the virus and forced three members of staff to self isolate after testing positive.
