The Sheppey Crossing was partially closed following a crash this afternoon.

Police were called to the bridge at 2.15pm following a report of a two vehicle collision between a car and a lorry heading off the Island.

A woman was reported to have suffered an injury to her legs but did not require an ambulance.

The vehicles are currently being recovered.

The road was shut going off the Island with traffic being diverted via Sheppey Way and the Kingsferry Bridge.
