Burst water main leads to tailbacks for drivers in Sheerness Town Centre

A burst water main continues to cause disruption in Sheerness Town Centre.
The incident happened in Bridge Street, near McDonald's, on Thursday night.
Four-way traffic lights were put in place outside the train station while repairs were carried out.It led to long tailbacks for drivers on all town centre approaches yesterday.Delays have also been reported this morning.A spokesman for Southern Water, said: "We apologise for the disruption."We have a crew on site fixing the pipe, which burst on Thursday evening. "Supplies have been maintained to all customers. "We are sorry for the disturbance caused by the required roadworks.”
