A charity set up in memory of Sheppey soldier Daniel Holkham has had a boost of £200.

Sheppey FM has been selling CDs produced for The Dannyboy Trust (DBT).

The Beatles Covered is a 21-track album featuring Island performers’ versions of the Fab Four’s tunes.

Daniel, from Warden Bay, died in Afghanistan in 2010, and his family launched the trust to support Sheppey children’s groups and clubs.

Last week, Andy Hyland from the DBT was presented with £200, which has been collected through CD sales and collections at the internet radio station.

The CD is available, priced £10, from the Sheppey Community Media Centre, the Times Guardian office, and the Roadhouse Recording Studios, all in Sheerness, and through the DBT Facebook page.
