Three teenage girls were taken to hospital after their car overturned.
A silver Daewood Matiz and blue Ford Fiesta were involved in a crash on the crossroads at Berridge Road and Winstanley Road, Sheerness.
It happened at about 8.50pm on Monday and witnesses said the Matiz rolled over before coming to a stop.
It was on its side when Sheppey firefighters arrived. Members of the public had dragged the driver, thought to be aged about 19, from the car.
She was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries while her two passengers, aged 17 and 18, were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital suffering with whiplash-type injuries including neck and back pains as a precaution.
The driver of the Fiesta, thought to be in her mid-20s, was uninjured but shaken up.
No arrests have been made.
