Essex man charged over fatal Sheppey motorbike crash

A 23-year-old man has been charged with causing death by careless driving following a fatal crash on Sheppey.

Matthew Baker, of Clockhouse Lane, Grays, was arrested shortly after the accident in Halfway Road, Halfway, on October 15.

Motorcyclist David Simpson, 64, was killed when his black Suzuki bike and a silver Ford Fiesta collided outside Stonnes Family Centre.

Baker has been bailed to appear before Maidstone magistrates on Monday, April 25.
