Man charged with possessing an imitation firearm and a knife after a disturbance on a boat in Rushenden, Sheppey

A fake gun and a knife were seized by police after they were called to a disturbance on a boat on Sheppey.
Officers were sent to the vessel in Alsager Avenue, Rushenden, on Thursday morning after a man was found on board.
The man, who did not have permission to be on the boat, was searched and an imitation firearm and a knife were found.
Joshua Presneill, 23, of Victory Street, Sheerness, has been charged with one count of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
