Firearms unit sent to Minster incident

Police firearms officers and a negotiator were sent to a domestic incident in Minster early this morning.
A man was taken to hospital after officers were called to the incident in Queens Road, Minster, at 3.03am today (Friday).
Patrols were on the scene within 10 minutes of being called and after assessing the situation, called the firearms unit as a precaution.
No firearms or tasers were used.
A police negotiator was also at the scene.
Queens Road was closed off by police while they dealt with the incident.
At 6.10am, a 31-year-old man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with what are thought to be self-inflicted injuries to his arms.
He is still being treated at hospital but his injuries are not life threatening.
