Firefighters called to tractor blaze in Harty Ferry Road, Leysdown

Firefighters were called to a blaze involving a tractor and a haystack at a farm.

Five fire engines and a bulk water carrier were sent to the scene off Harty Ferry Road in Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey.

It started at around 5:30pm last night (March 7) and crews worked overnight to extinguish the flames with hose reel jets and fog spikes.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is believed to be accidental due to a vehicle fault.

Duty of care was left with the site owner.
