Firefighters stay overnight in Alexandra Road, Sheerness to tackle house blaze

Crews stayed overnight as they were called to tackle a house blaze on a residential street.
They attended the fire in Alexandra Road, Sheerness with four engines and a height vehicle at about 5pm yesterday (August 20).
The home found to be on fire was believed to have been empty at the time it caught alight.
The crews worked overnight, calling an end to the incident at 5.31am today (August 21).
Part of the roof had been damaged and fallen through after the fire was put out.
No injuries were reported and the cause is not yet known.
Last week, a police cordon was put out after a man was found dead at a property in the same road.
