Where can I watch fireworks in Sittingbourne and Sheppey this year?

It is that time of year again when the nights start to draw in.

And what better way is there to spend them than huddled around a bonfire, watching fireworks light up the sky?

There are plenty of events to choose from, here’s everything you need to know...

  • Tickets are selling fast for Minster’s Magical Fireworks display. It takes place at Minster Primary School, Sheppey, tomorrow from 6pm to 8pm.

Entry is from the Brecon Chase entrance only and there will be a bar and barbecue.

Tickets cost £6, £4 for children. There is a £1 discount when bought in advance, from the school office. A family ticket (two adults, two children) is £13 in advance.

  • Hot food, drinks and glow sticks will be the order of the day at Minterne Junior School, near Sittingbourne, on Friday, November 8.

Gates open at 6pm with the 45-minute display from 7.15pm.

Entry is £8, £5 for children and under threes go free. Get £1 off tickets bought before tomorrow from the office at Minterne or the Oaks Infant School. A family ticket for two adults and up to three children is £25 on the night, £20 in advance.

  • Join the team at Tunstall Primary School for its very first fireworks display tomorrow from 6pm. Expect fun for all the family and plenty of food and drink.

Entry is £8, under twos go free. Early bird tickets are £6 via the website, www.pta-events.co.uk/tunstall. Group tickets cost £20 for a family of four.

  • The Appleyard Sports Bar in Gore Court Road, Sittingbourne, kicks off its Bonfire Night celebrations from 5.30pm on Sunday. The event runs until 8.30pm. Advanced entry ranges from £5 to £20 and children under two go free. Visit tinyurl.com/AppleyardFireworks to book.

  • Regis Manor Primary School is holding a fireworks spectacular with Marylebone Jelly performing live. It starts from 5.30pm in Middletune Avenue on Friday, November 8. Entry is £7, £6 for children. Advanced tickets are £1 cheaper.
  • Palace Farm in Downcourt Road, Doddington, will have sparklers for sale, burgers and refreshments, a bar and parking available at its event on Saturday. Gates open at 5.30pm and the spectacular starts at 7pm. Tickets are £10, £5 for children and under fives go free.
  • An evening of fireworks will take place on Saturday at Gore Court Hockey Club, Silver Street, Bredgar. Visitors are welcome from 7pm with the show at 8pm and music until midnight. Entry costs from £5.

A group ticket is £20.

  • Teynham Primary School in Station Road is holding a display on Saturday, November 9. Gates open at 6.15pm with the display due to begin at 7pm until 8pm. Tickets are £6, £2.50 for children and a family ticket for two adults and three children is £18, available from the school office.
