A major employer has announced it is to reduce its workforce at one of its plants next month.
Recipharm, which acquired Aesica Pharmaceuticals in February, has confirmed it is to get rid of 26 roles in August.
General manager of the firm's site in Queenborough on Sheppey, Peter Kruger, said the jobs are going to be taken from the administrative side of the business.
It follows a restructure of how the firm is run.
He added: "We follow the normal process that we have to follow by law when dealing with redundancies."
Mr Kruger stressed the roles to go would not be front-line "operating" staff.
The site currently employs about 400 people.
