Teenagers charged after attack in alley off High Street, Sheerness

A gang of teenagers arrested after a father and son were beaten in a late-night attack are to appear in court.

Four 17-year-old boys have been charged with assault and causing grievous bodily harm.

While two of them were released on bail, the other two were remanded in custody.

They are all due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 5.

The incident took place in Wheatsheaf Alley, off Sheerness High Street, at 12.44am on Saturday, May 28.

A police spokesman said: "One of the victims, who was in his 20s, suffered severe facial injuries while the other, who was in his 50s, was not seriously hurt."

Both men were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital to receive further treatment.
