A girl had fallen off her horse while riding exposed sand banks on Minster Leas beach, Sheppey.
It had bolted and got stuck in the mud.
The owner of the horse and mother of the girl called fire crews and Sheerness Coastguard at around 5.50pm, yesterday afternoon (May, 22).
