Unmarked response teams were called to deal with a prisoner on the roof of a Kent jail.
Seven white vans with flashing blue lights were seen racing to HMP Swaleside at Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey.
A neighbour said there was an "incident" and that "one of the prisoners is on the roof again."
Another reported seeing the seven unmarked vehicles dashing along the Lower Road towards the prison cluster at 4pm this afternoon.
A prison service spokesman confirmed a prisoner had "gained access to the roof of a building" at Swaleside.
He confirmed shortly after 6pm that prison staff had "successfully resolved" the incident.
It is believed there were no injuries to staff or prisoners.
This comes just one month after rioting prisoners destroyed one of the wings at Swaleside prison.
