Sharrocks Insurance invited families to come into its office at Watsons Mill, off High Street, on Saturday.

As well as Father Christmas in his grotto, children could decorate their own cakes and sweets and play a cracker game.

The tombola prizes included a model helicopter and large reindeer cuddly toy, which the winner plans to donate to Demelza Hospice Care for Children due to its size.

A total of £665 was raised on the day for the Sharrocks Send a Smile Foundation, which supports Age UK Sheppey, Barnardo’s, The DannyBoy Trust, Meningitis Trust, The Freedom Centre and The British Heart Foundation.

Over the past two years, staff have generated around £3,500 through efforts including a team walk on Mount Snowdon and a charity golf day.

Managing director Alan Doucy said it was the biggest amount they had raised since he joined in 2008.
