A large search and rescue mission is underway after concerns were raised for a distressed woman who has gone missing.
The coastguard and other emergency services, including police were called to the Isle of Sheppey shortly after 8pm after concerns were raised for the woman.
The search and rescue teams, including the Medway and Sheppey coastguard teams, are at Warden Bay looking for her.
It is understood the teams are searching areas near to the Cliff Drive Car Park, and other coastal areas.
However, their efforts to get onto the Island have been delayed by the closure of the Sheppey Crossing after a car broke down on the bridge earlier this evening.
