Man cut free from car following crash in Hope Street, Sheerness

A man in his 80s was injured when a minivan and car collided in Hope Street, Sheerness, earlier today.
The accident reportedly happened shortly before midday outside building merchant Jewson.
Sheppey fire crew attended the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the male passenger of the car, who suffered a cut to the head.
He was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
The woman driver, believed to be in her 20s, was unhurt.
The driver of the minivan, which is not thought to have been carrying passengers, was uninjured.
Police also attended the accident.
