Sheerness inshore lifeboat helped rescue a man trapped on a broken down hovercraft on the River Medway.
UK Coastguard scrambled the crew of Buster after hearing a man was on the small three-metre long craft and needed help.
The lifeboat was launched at 1.18pm yesterday and quickly found the man drifting between Hoo Fort and Darnettness in the estuary.
The man was taken on board the lifeboat and the hovercraft was towed back to safety at Gillingham Strand.
The lifeboat was back at Sheerness at 2.25pm.
