Man in hospital after crash in Lower Road in Minster

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a three vehicle crash caused huge delays on the Isle of Sheppey.

Emergency services were called to Lower Road in Minster shortly after 4pm following the smash.

The road was blocked in both directions, with traffic building on the island and queues backed up on the Kingsferry Bridge.

A man was taken to a London hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries.

The road remained closed due to planned highways works at 9pm.
