Warden Bay Road, Leysdown, closed off after car crashes into two properties

Police are searching for the occupants of a car which smashed into two properties in Warden Bay Road, Leysdown, early today.
The car crashed at 3.13am. There were no injuries reported but officers discovered damaged gas cylinders at the scene and evacuated surrounding premises.
Firefighters from Eastchurch were called in to ensure public safety and declared the area safe at 3.36am.
The search for the car’s missing occupants, believed to be two men, is continuing.
This morning police closed the mainland-bound carriageway of the Sheppey Crossing.
It was not confirmed that this was in connection with the car crash.
