One anonymous worker claimed the fast-food businesses wasn’t being as safe as it could.

They said: “The way we are working now isn’t safe for anyone and our lives are at risk.”

However, a spokesman for the food giant said: "Last week three crew members at our Isle of Sheppey restaurant tested positive for COVID-19 and immediately self-isolated.

"As soon as we were informed, the restaurant was deep cleaned by an external cleaning company and we contacted all restaurant employees, as well as Public Health England.

"We have a number of safety measures in place to help keep our people safe, including perspex screens, temperature checks at the start of each shift, maintaining a two metre distance from others as much as possible, face coverings, regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitiser.”
