Ansra Mahmud, of High Street, Sheerness, charged with rape in town centre

Officers investigating a rape in Sheerness have charged a 35-year-old man.
Ansra Mahmud, of High Street, Sheerness, will appear by before Medway Magistrates’ today via video link.
His charge follows an alleged rape in Victory Street between 1.30am and 3am on Sunday, July 24.

Two other men, aged 27 and 31, were also arrested but have been released without charge.
Police forensic officers were seen in the True Briton Alley around yesterday lunchtime.
