PAUL ROWLANDS: known as Roly in his adult life and Wasp in his childhood

A MEMORIAL service to celebrate the life of Paul Rowlands, a man who vanished without trace a year ago, will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Sheerness, on Thursday, September 2.

His sisters, Tula Harold, Tina Rowlands and Barbara Rogers, decided to hold the service on the one-year anniversary of the date he was last seen.

His body has never been found but the family is sure Mr Rowlands is dead. Swale Police have said they are dealing with a murder investigation rather than a missing person inquiry.

Mr Rowlands was known as Roly in his adult life and Wasp in his childhood when the family lived in Medway Road, Sheerness.

The sisters hope that friends Mr Rowlands made while studying computers at Sheppey College will attend the service which will begin at 5pm.
