The developer behind the £30 million transformation of Neats Court has confirmed things are moving forward at the site.
LXB Retail Properties announced the news that terms have been agreed with Pets at Home to come on board.
Morrisons, a petrol station and KFC drive-thru opened earlier this year and contractor Cardy Construction Ltd, of Canterbury, has now been given access to start work on phase two of the retail park.
It is expected they will be doing two to three months of groundwork before the buildings go up.
Work which residents will be able to notice taking place, such as building frames going up, is expected to start in around February but there will be a continual presence there from now until the project is complete in the middle of next summer.
Home furnishings chain B&M Stores is confirmed for the Queenborough site and terms have now been agreed with the large pet supplies retailer and Poundland, although both are yet to sign up formally.
As well as the retail units, phase two will include a family pub, which brewer Marston’s has been confirmed as the tenant for.
