A person was airlifted to hospital after a late-night rescue mission was launched.
Sheppey Coastguard and the RNLI were called at about 11.30pm yesterday to reports of someone in the water off Minster, Sheppey.
The person was found under the cliffs.
Medics assessed them before deciding to airlift the casualty to hospital.
A search and rescue team was also airlifted back to The Leas due to the incoming tide.
The Sheppey Coastguard team was stood down at 4.30am.
Emergency services were called to a similar report of a woman in the sea, in the same area on Monday when a patient was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with a leg injury.
Yesterday had been a busy day for the Sheerness RNLI volunteer crew.
Earlier they were sent on a search at 8.50pm for a 25ft boat which had been due to arrive at Queenborough Harbour in the afternoon.
They spotted the vessel in the river near Gillingham, made sure it was secured to a mooring before taking the man onboard to shore.
