Land off Brielle Way, Sheerness, owned by Sheppy Ltd could become business park

Some of the companies displaced from a business park could find new premises if a planned development gets off the ground.
It is understood land off Brielle Way, Sheerness, near the Whiteways Road roundabout, was recently purchased by property firm Sheppy Ltd, which intends to submit a planning application for the four-acre site “very shortly”.
It is hoped it will then be developed for commercial use such as for light industry and small warehouse space.
It is not known how many units could eventually be built and it is believed the number of occupiers and tenants will be set during the coming months.
The company used to own the Klondyke industrial estate in Queenborough until the land was sold to the Homes and Communities Agency a few years ago.
It is now earmarked for up to 1,200 homes and business owners there have been told to find alternative premises.
A spokesman for Sheppy Ltd said the plan is to try to move some of the tenants from the Klondyke onto the new development should planning consent be granted.
