Police chase ends with Sheerness man's arrest after roundabout crash on A249

A Sheerness man, arrested after a police chase along the A249, has been released on bail.
The incident happened after police officers signalled for a vehicle to stop in London Road, Rainham, shortly after 3pm on Saturday.
They took chase, but that came to an end when the vehicle crashed into a roundabout on the A249 at Detling.
A 31-year-old from Sheerness was arrested on suspicion of driving without insurance, dangerous driving and driving whilst disqualified, before being taken to hospital as a precaution.
He was subsequently released on police bail.
